Overwatch 2: The 2 Combos To Focus On in Season 4

Here are some of the combos you should focus on in Overwatch 2 Season 4.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 has been around for several weeks, so we already know a thing or two about the current meta. Speaking of the devil, you can take a look at some of the best two-heroes combos to use in Overwatch 2 if you have to play with a friend.

With that said, some Overwatch 2 players prefer to play alone and get teamed up with random people. Once that happens, everyone starts picking different heroes without paying attention to the current meta. Although this can work well up to a point, our experience with Season 4 shows that some combos are not worth using.

If you don’t want to learn about this the hard way, this guide about the combos you should focus on in Overwatch 2 Season 4 will help you out. Some of the things might work in specific situations, but others are just too good to pass on in the given patch.

Dive Combos – Winston/D.Va + Tracer, Sojournm, Genji + Lucio, Kiriko, Ana

Despite being one of the most fun setups you can run in Season 4 of Overwatch 2, we do not see many Dive Combos in PUB games. So, if you are looking for something fun that can allow you to win games even easier, this is an option to consider.

The so-called Dive combos in Season 4 of Overwatch 2 allow you to punish your enemies when they’re not positioned properly. As you can probably guess, this happens more often than you think, especially in lower-rated games.

The Dive combos allow certain heroes to go in, land a kill and go out. Of course, picking the right heroes is the only way to do that. Speaking of the devil, there are a couple of interesting options when it comes to diving combos.

Tanks

If we have to choose a tank for a dive combo in Season 4, the first name that comes to mind is Winston. The latter is among the hot picks right now because of his incredible mobility. However, you need to know how to play because Winston is one of the heroes that can easily go out of position.

D.Va can also be a decent option here, but it really depends on her opponents. Although the hero usually works well against everything, some exceptions might exist.

DPS

The new DPS hero in Overwatch 2, Sojourn

In terms of the DPS heroes, there are a couple of good options for a dive combo, but there is no arguing that Tracer is the best. In fact, if you check out our Overwatch 2 tier list for Season 4, you will see she is among the S-Tier DPS heroes. Consequently, she is one of the best heroes in the Season 4 meta.

Aside from Tracer, Sojourn is also a pretty good option because she is among the most mobile heroes in the game. However, she is not strong in the meta and is one of the more complex heroes to master. So, you need to practice more before you start playing with her.

Of course, we also need to mention Genji, a hero that is not that popular in the current meta but is one of the best for the dive combo in Overwatch 2 Season 4. Besides the fact that he is extremely mobile, Genji is also a hero that benefits a lot from the Nanoblade combo with Ana

Supports

kiriko-ow2

In terms of the support you can get for the dive combo in Season 4, Kiriko is probably the best option. She has been one of the best supports in OW 2 and works in all metas. Needless to say, her incredible kit allows all heroes on her team to do a lot more.

Ana can also be a solid option for the dive combo, but it depends a lot on the enemy’s team. If they also have a dive setup, she may not be the best idea.

As long as someone can play Lucio, the latter is also one of the best options for this combo. He’s fast, provides tons of utility, and has one of the best ultimates for a dive combo.

Poke Combo – Sigma + Hanzo, Widowmaker, Ashe + Ana, Zenyatta

The Overwatch hero Sigma stands in his high-powered armor, his hyperspheres hovering above his outstretched palm

There are many different variations of the popular dive combos, and the same applies to the “poke” ones. Most dive combos will work no matter which options you pick, but the poke combos are not that good right now. However, there is one that stands out, and it is with Sigma.

Sigma is a hero that was extremely popular in Season 3, and some people continue to use him today. His impressive damage output and the fact that he is very difficult to kill make him good in a variety of maps.

DPS

There are not really that many DPS heroes that work well in a poke combo, other than Widowmaker and Hanzo. However, we can also add Ashe to the lineup because the changes to B.O.B. from a couple of updates ago make the hero even more special.

Each of these heroes can do a lot of damage from a distance, and in the case of Widowmaker, she can even one-shot enemies.

Supports

zenyatta

When it comes down to support heroes in the Poke setup, Ana is probably the first name on the list. She’s the “sniper healer”, which means she can stay back, do damage, and heal when needed.

Of course, we also need to include Zenyatta, a hero that we don’t see that often in play. His ability to amplify the damage output makes him very popular in this combo because he allows his team to kill targets a lot faster.

Conclusion

The Dive and Poke combos in Season 4 of Overwatch 2 are definitely better than the rest. Of course, there are different variations of the combos, so you have to decide which heroes to focus on. However, the options mentioned here are better than the rest in the current season, so make sure to test them.
