The first match of Week 2 will be Toronto Defiant vs. New York Excelsior.

With Defiant shooting for the top, and Excelsior shooting for anything but last, these two teams are coming in from polar ends of the standings.

New York Excelsior

This roster is more promising than anything NXYL have had for a few years now. Still, they are struggling to lift their lower level players up with their high level players. There is a big gap between the best and worst players on this team, resulting in not much getting done even when the better players look like they're gonna make something happen. The likes of FITS and Creative shouldn't be taking such heavy handed losses to some of these other West teams. The lower level players on the team need to step up immediately if NYXL want this to be a season worth remembering.
