The Los Angeles Valiant vs. New York Excelsior game will be the first of three very even matches today.
One of these two teams will finally walk away with their first win of the season just in time to not hit Week 3 with no wins.

This team lies just about Vegas Eternal in terms of expectations at this point. We know nothing big is coming from them, but if there's a team besides Vegas that they could beat, it has to be this New York Excelsior team. NYXL is about to hit their stride, so Valiant catching them this early is great, but they have to strike now, otherwise they may not see a single win until the match with Vegas, and even that is a maybe.

The NYXL finally had a good showing this week. They put up a great fight against the Toronto Defiant, barely losing on Map 3 of control in a match the ended 3-2 in favor of Toronto. Before that, it was questionable whether this team would be able to even take on lower standings teams like Vegas and Valiant, but now its pretty clear that they sit above them in the rankings, and that should mean good things for them today.
