Final Fantasy XIV Guide | Tribe Quests and Where to Find Them

Learn everything you need to know about Final Fantasy XIV's Tribe Quests!

Tribe Quests are the closest Final Fantasy XIV has to the classic reputation grind of other MMORPG's. They work similarly but also a little differently from other games. They're usually worth doing, just to unlock all the perks that come with finishing a tribe's quest line. And especially useful if you want to passively level up your side classes or just increase your passive income of Tomestones.

An Introduction to Tribe Quests

There are plenty of tribes to choose from, all of them come with a unique story line that gets told while rise through the ranks of their reputation. They are a decent source of experience points and take only a few minutes to complete. Just setting aside about half an hour a day do them is probably more effective than waiting on your roulettes as a DPS. Actually, you should probably do them while you wait on your roulettes for maximum efficiency. Most of them involve just going from place A to B, collecting or killing a number of things or maybe interact with something then return to collect your reward.

Your reward will usually be experience points, reputation and a currency specific to that tribe. Reaching certain reputation milestones will raise your standing with that tribe. Every time you hit a milestone, you will have to complete a special side quest that'll then advance your standing with the tribe. That will in turn unlock more wares accessible from the tribe vendors, raise the rewards received from tribe quests and reset the daily limit of three quests.

You have a total of 12 tribe quests available every day, being limited to 3 of them per tribe. Do take note that this works a little differently for the A Realm Reborn tribes. Here you can do as many quests as you have unlocked until you reach the daily limit.

The rewards you can claim from the tribe vendor's usually include: Gear, Materia, Crafting Materials, Potions, Mounts, Music and Minions. Completing all tribe quest lines of an expansion (except Shadowbringers) will unlock a special series of quests. Those tie all the story threads together and reward a title and emotes or glamour items.

Now that we've gone over the basics of tribe quests and how they operate. Here is a comprehensive list of all the tribe quests, sorted by expansion including how to unlock them and what they're good for!
