Fortnite Hotfix v20.20: Battle for Rocky Reels, the LMG Returns

Fortnite's players worldwide are deep into Chapter 3 Season 2, and the fun continued in today’s hotfix update. The Resistance and Imagine Order have been battling back and forth as part of this season’s storyline. Thus far, the former has claimed victories at The Daily Bugle, Condo Canyon and now Coney Crossroads.

The Imagined Order is on its back foot following these point of interest (POI) takeovers. Today, the battle continues at Rocky Reels—one of three remaining locations with an IO Blimp flying overhead. Those dropping into Fortnite can aid The Resistance in its latest skirmish and add the legendary Light Machine Gun (LMG) to make it happen.

The Battle of Rocky Reels

Rocky Reels is next up on the warpath in Chapter 3 Season 2. For Fortnite players, that means you’ll find the two factions battling at this location. You can help The Resistance defeat the Imagined Order and eventually see the IO Blimp crashing down. Check out Rocky Reels one last time before the battle concludes.

LMG Un-vaulted

The Light Machine Gun returned to the loot pool in hotfix v20.20. You can find this weapon in all the usual locations, including Chests, Rare Chests, Supply Drops and Loot Sharks. Let’s look at the weapon’s statistics:

• Damage: 20 to 28 (Common to Legendary)
• Magazine Size: 60
• Fire Rate: 7
• Reload Time: 4.4 to 3.8 (Common to Legendary)

Funding Effort: Boogie Bombs vs. Rift-To-Go

After a brief un-vaulting period, you can now vote to bring back the Boogie Bombs or Rift-To-Go item. Epic Games brought both out of retirement for players to test the waters, and now is the time to decide. To vote for one, you should head over to any funding boards across the game’s many named locations. You’ll need to exchange gold for the item you’d like to see return to the loot pool.

Competitive Notes

• Rocky Reels is not under assault in competitive playlists, but Huntmaster Saber has still relocated.
• The LMG is not included in competitive playlists but is subject to an evaluation period.
• The winner of the Boogie Bomb vs. Rift-To-Go vote will not immediately be un-vaulted in competitive playlists — but is subject to an evaluation period.
• The Repair Torch has been removed from competitive playlists.
