The Red Bull High Ground Pro-Am Fortnite tournament just announced lets amateur players get involved with pros!
A brand new Fortnite event has just been announced with gives fans the chance to play with some of the most popular Fortnite streamers and pros. It’s a tournament being put on pretty soon by Red Bull. It'll feature some of the biggest names in Power, the Fortnite-focused gaming content creation group.
The event is going to be taking place in Australia. It’s going to have a huge prize pool for amateur players along with offering them the chance to actually play with some of their favorite names in Fortnite. It’s one of the more creative events on the competitive calendar for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.
As a Pro-AM, it lets pros play with amateur players along with content creators too. It’s a bit less sweaty than the FNCS, or at least in theory, it should be! The amateurs have to make it through a lengthy qualifier and the pros on the teams will be just as keen for victory. If you’re looking to take part or just tune in if you can’t quite get to Australia, this is how the Red Bull High Ground Pro-Am Fortnite is going to work.
What is the Red Bull High Ground Pro-Am Fortnite?
The Red Bull High Ground Pro-Am Fortnite tournament is the first event of its type in a while for the game, but it’s part of a bigger Red Bull series which might make it familiar to some players. It’s a type of tournament where pro players and amateur players will be competing together.
The event is featuring a few content creators, specifically some from the Power group. This contains a lot of the biggest Fortnite streamers and a good portion of those big enough to get an Icon skin. It’s focused on Australian players, which is where a disproportionate amount of major Fortnite content creators are located for reasons that already YouTube analytical experts could explain.
The tournament will see players competing in trios. Each squad will be pros, along with two amateur players who have managed to qualify for the talent pools!
Eventually, 15 trios will be drafted together who will then compete in the Red Bull High Ground Pro-Am Fortnite Final. The event carries a prize pool of $50,000 and the Grand Finale is taking place as a live event in front of a crowd and online audience at the Star Event Centre Sydney.

The roster for the Red Bull high Ground Pro-Am is a fun mix of pro players, Fortnite streamers, and then the ordinary gamers hoping to make that jump up. These are the content creators which will be taking part.

This is just the starting roster though, there will be more pro players and streamers added as we get closer to the event.
How to Compete in the Red Bull High Ground Pro-Am Fortnite
The Fortnite Pro-AM event is a fun crossover between normal players and pros. How exactly are we going to find which normal players are taking part though? There’s a full system of qualifiers. Players have to first register at Faceit. Then they can enter into one of the two qualifier events. If they’re good enough to make the final, they’ll get to the full competition.
Red Bull High Ground Pro-Am Fortnite Prize Pool
There’s an impressive prize pool for the tournament to say that this is an event focused on amateurs. This is how the prizing works for each stage of the Red Bull Higher Ground Pro-Am Fortnite tournament.

How to Watch and When Does it Take Place?
The tournament is going to be played over quite a few weeks to allow for amateur players to compete in qualifiers. The main broadcast with all those talented pro players and streamers are taking place on a single day though. The qualifiers run in two sessions, April 20 and May 4. The finals will then be held on 27 May.
The Red Bull High Ground Pro-Am Fortnite is going to have a live event with an audience, but it can also be streamed online on the normal Red Bull YouTube and their Twitch Channel. It’s possible the Power Twitch will also be broadcasting closer to the time too.
