This is everything we know about the Fortnite X Star Wars 2023 crossover!
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is about to get its next crossover. As has become customary in recent years, Fortnite X Star Wars 2023 is returning for May! This time there’s more content coming than ever though. We’ve got new Mythics, new skins, and loads more content in-game for the t latest Star Wars crossover.
Thanks to a prominent leaker, we’ve got a great look at what’s coming this year. Fortnite X Star Wars is going to be bigger than ever in 2023. There’s returning content but also some new items that push Star Wars and Fortnite closer together than ever. This is what you can expect with the crossover.
Fortnite X Star Wars 2023
Fortnite x Star Wars in the past has covered a good portion of the series. We’ve got skins and items from the entire original trilogy, with a recent bundle of the main characters not leaving much left to cover there. Vader was in a recent Battle Pass, and on the map. Before that, we saw Star Wars content covering the sequel trilogy alongside their original release. Even Mando and Baby Yoda are in the game. So, what’s actually left that’s still big enough for a Fortnite X Star Wars crossover?
Prequels. The much-maligned 2000s follow ups are getting a lot of representation in the latest crossover. The current update is going to focus on content from the Clone Wars area of the series. Starting with one skin that fans are excited about hitting the game.
Skins in Fortnite X Star Wars 2023
The headline new skin appears to be Anakin Skywalker, resembling how he appeared in Episode 3. Epic has already shown off the loading screen coming with the skin. It includes Anakin Skywalker, with Clone Wars era starships above him.
This skin is likely going to be in the item shop. We’ve already seen the whole Battle Pass, so we probably can’t expect it to get added in there. Since we’ve already had proper Vader in the Battle Pass too, it makes sense Epic would be selling this one.
Other skins coming in the crossover aren’t known yet. We could see another version of Obi-Wan Kenobi or even more niche characters from the spin-off media set in this period.
In-Game Items for Fortnite X Star Wars 2023
Every May we see at least a small part of the Frontier X Star Wars crossover return, in Lightsabers. These laser swords are all over the map around May 4TH. The new crossover will likely see all of these return to the loot pool.
The lightsabers are a melee item you can use to make sword swings at opponents. They aren’t as OP as the Infinity Blade sword. Since we’ve got the Fortnite kinetic blade already this season, we’ll have plenty of sword fights going on in Fortnite X Star Wars.
Alongside those returning items, there’s some new ones coming too. We’re going to get new Mythics this season too. There’s going to be new Force based Mythics. These will likely be based around pulling players. Although, we won’t know the exact details for a short while longer. They’ll step up the Star Wars X Fortnite gameplay beyond what we get the lightsabers.
Map Changes
That’s everything that’s already leaked in the Fortnite X Star Wars crossover event. However, we might get more in the actual update. It has been a while since we had a crossover POI. It looks like November’s Doctor Who X Fortnite crossover will come with one. We might get one from Epic for this crossover too! Although, that’s not in the leaks we’ve seen to date.
When’s Fortnite X Star Wars 2023 Coming?
The Fortnite X Star Wars crossover has leaked early, but we already know exactly when we’ll see the release date. This content usually comes back for May 5th, an unofficial Star Wars day to a lot of people. We should expect the skin in the shop alongside the new Mythics around this date. It’s no clear when the update will hit, but the content will probably come at the closest patch to this date.
