Los Angeles Guerrillas Part Ways with Huke Ahead of CDL Major 2

Huke has been let go by the LA Guerrillas ahead of the CDL Major 2.

The Call of Duty League season has only just begun as we head into the Major 2 qualifiers in two weeks' time. However, rostermania seems to have already started, with the Los Angeles Guerrillas announcing a roster change today.

Huke and LAG Part Ways

Cuyler “Huke” Garland has been a part of the Los Angeles Guerrillas since the beginning of the 2022 Call of Duty: Vanguard season. In this season, the Guerrillas came home from Major 2 with a Championship, seeing them complete a great lower bracket run in the process. However, their season went downhill following this victory, and their highest placing following was 7-8th. They were unable to qualify for the Championship Weekend, and thus made a roster change heading into the Modern Warfare 2 season.

Austin “Slasher” Liddicoat and Obaid “Asim” Asim left the Los Angeles Guerrillas, seeing Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson, and Travis “Neptune” McCloud join the squad for the Modern Warfare 2 season. Unfortunately, this roster hasn’t worked out as planned, and a 9-12th placement in Major 1 sees the Guerrillas part ways with Huke.

It is unclear where the 2020 Call of Duty League World Champion will end up, and however, rumors suggest that Huke will be heading to OpTic Texas in place of Brandon “Dashy” Otell. Following a fall out in the OpTic camp during the summer, the team were unable to sign the players they wanted, and thus the team remained the same. However, it has definitely not gone to plan, and it seems that Dashy will be leaving OpTic Texas before Major 2, or at least heading to the bench.

LAG’s New Roster

As for the Los Angeles Guerrillas, ESTNN understands that three of their academy players will be joining the starting lineup. Kaden “Exceed” Stockdale, Adam “Assault” Garcia, and JoeDeceives will join Arcitys on the Los Angeles Guerrillas starting roster, as LAG look to turn their season around. This leaves Neptune and Spart joining Diamondcon on the LAG Academy roster, with Noysii rumored to be their fourth.
