Hicksy Replaces Standy on Toronto Ultra Starting Roster

Toronto Ultra make a change mid-Major 3, as Hicksy Replaces Standy.

The Call of Duty League has just returned following Major 2 in Boston. While there were numerous roster changes in the period between Major 2 and Major 3 Qualifiers, Toronto Ultra are the latest team to make a change following their 3-1 loss to Boston Breach last night.

Hicksy in: Standy Out

Toronto Ultra has had a rough season, and the whole team has not been performing to the heights that they previously have in former games. At Major 2 in Boston, Toronto Ultra suffered back-to-back 3-0 losses to Atlanta FaZe and the LA Thieves to see them sent home with a top 6 finish. 

In Toronto’s 3-1 defeat to Boston Breach last night, they outslayed Breach overall in the series but could not bring together enough map wins. This leads many to believe that this change is more of a team dynamic issue than a performance issue. Charlie ‘Hicksy’ Hicks has been Toronto Ultra’s substitute player for the past two seasons, and has been a main part of Ultra’s academy roster. 

Toronto Ultra take on the Las Vegas Legion tomorrow, with their new roster of Insight, Scrappy, CleanX and Hicksy having just one day to practise.
