BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: Teams, Schedule, How to Watch and More

The $1.25 million BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 will take place from May 8 to 21 with three stages and 24 teams participating in the event


The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, sponsored by Valve, will take up nearly two weeks of May this year. The Challengers Stage will get the ball rolling for the Major on May 8, with 16 teams competing to become Legends! 

Eight out of 16 Challengers squads will be moving forward to the Legends Stage to meet the likes of NAVI and Heroic for another set of Swiss round games. The top eight names from this phase will reach the final stage of the Major.

The endgame of this Major will be the Champions Stage from May 18 to 21, with eight remaining teams fighting in single-elimination matches. Accor Arena in Paris will see history in the making, as this is going to be the final CS:GO Major!

After fighting hard in the RMRs, 24 teams have landed in the Paris Major. Out of all of these squads, eight teams have secured the Legends Stage, and the rest 16 will be competing in the Challengers Stage.

BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 – Format

The Major is divided into three stages:

The Challengers Stage

Paris Major 2023’s Challengers Stage will follow a Swiss System Format. A total of 5 rounds will be played between 16 teams. All of these games except for Advancement and Elimination matches will be Best of 1s. The top 8 teams will move forward to the Legends Stage while the rest of the squads get eliminated.

The Legends Stage

Eight teams from the Challengers Stage and eight teams who have already confirmed a spot in the Legends Stage from the RMRs will participate in a Swiss System Format in this stage. The 16 teams will be fighting to move forward to the Champions Stage. 

Similar to the Challengers Stage, the Legends Stage will also feature five rounds of games, all of them Bo1s except for Advancement and Elimination matches which will be Best of 3s. Eight teams will be disqualified during this part of the Major while the rest go forward.

The Champions Stage

Eight teams from the Legends Stage will compete in a single-elimination bracket to become the Major winner in the Champions Stage. All of the matches of this stage are going to be Best of 3s.
