The final CSGO major is seeing the participation of some of the greatest names in the world. As the most popular Counter-Strike event, millions of fans will be waiting to see their favorite players – some considered the legends of the FPS world.

1. Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut

The French prodigy came as a blessing for Team Vitality in 2018, quickly becoming their most valuable player. While ZywOo has since participated in five majors throughout the years, he hasn’t won any, despite being the best CSGO player twice before and after the pandemic. It’s no surprise that he is a one-man army considering he only has eight trophies while gathering 14 MVP awards with incredible performances for Vitality.

Team Vitality has been looking good recently with their incredible performance at the RMRs as well as securing 1st place at the IEM Rio 2023 while beating teams like NAVI and Heroic, where ZywOo took the MVP spot. The 22-year-old player was also the MVP in ESL Pro League S16 last year, and it’s evident that he is only getting better! With so many great records to his name, we are going to see ZywOo shine on the Legends Stage.

2. Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev

The legendary player for NAVI does not need any introduction, as many consider him the best CSGO pro. s1mple has acquired the title of ‘the best player’ in 2018, 2021 and 2022 while participating in 12 CSGO Majors. Winning the 2021 PGL Major Stockholm came as the player’s most significant achievement, but it seems like he’s hungry for more as he looks to add to the 21 HLTV MVP medals collection.

We haven’t seen much from s1mple on the European RMR A for this Major as a few of his teammates took the spotlight, winning three matches in a row and securing their Legends spot. A glimpse of the AWPer’s excellence was seen in NAVI’s IEM Rio 2023 match against BIG, where he picked up 61 kills in two maps, getting an excellent 1.42 HLTV rating. Unfortunately, the Ukrainians failed to get past the Semi-final of the event when faced against Heroic. Nonetheless, with a previous Major MVP title to his name, s1mple may repeat his 2021 form in Paris.

3. Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato

The Brazilian rifler for FURIA has been part of the top 20 list for the last three years, becoming the best player from his region! You have to look no further than the last Major to determine the raw skill of KSCERATO as he led his team to the Playoffs past the Legends Stage and became the second-best player of the IEM Rio 2022 Major with a 1.33 rating!

KSCERATO’s domination wasn’t limited to the online era, as he took the 8th spot on the ESL Pro League S17 ranking. Also, throughout the American RMR, the 23-year-old consistently claimed the MVP spot while beating teams like Liquid and going 4-0 to secure a spot in the Legends Stage. He also helped FURIA reach the Quarter-final of the recent IEM Rio 2023 and did especially well against FaZe with a 1.44 rating and winning the series 2-0! With KSCERATO’s consistent improvement over the years, it’s likely that we will see FURIA be a tough contender in Paris Major.

4. Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov

The young Russian started his journey as a professional CSGO player for ESPADA, but he truly shocked the world after joining Team Spirit in 2021. With his help, the Russian organization reached the Semi-final of the IEM Katowice 2021 and went to the Playoffs of the PGL Major Antwerp the following year. This turnabout is considered to be one of the greatest Cinderella stories of recent times, but soon after, the AWPer parted ways with Team Spirit and joined OG.

OG had a rough start at the European RMR, losing against FaZe and GamerLegion in their first two games. However, they were able to secure a spot in the Challengers Stage by winning their next three games. The Russian player was in the spotlight only in one series against SAW during the RMR but got back into his groove in the following IEM Rio 2023 and Brazy Party tournaments.

5. Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken

Twistzz has participated in seven Majors, all while wearing the Jerseys of two legendary CSGO organizations. He was the first Canadian player to win a Major at PGL Major Antwerp 2022 for FaZe. During his time in Team Liquid, he helped the North American squad win several S-tier events, such as the Intel Grand Slam Season 2. His Major win came after joining FaZe Clan, and he also helped the Europeans to secure the Intel Grand Slam Season 4, winning his second $1 million prize.

During the European RMRs for this Major, Twistzz was not in his best form for FaZe, and they almost lost the chance to go to Paris after three consecutive losses. However, thanks to their first two Bo1 victories, they reached the Last Chance Qualifier and snatched a spot in the Challengers Stage from Cloud9. As the Canadian player gets ready to fight in his eighth Major, we are expecting to see a continuation of his past performance!

6. Martin “stavn” Lund

The 21-year-old Danish player has been part of the top 20 conversations for the last three years while participating in three Majors. He helped Heroic in those Majors as a great impact player, taking his team to the Playoffs. The Norwegian roster managed to win BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022 and IEM XVI – Katowice last year with the young player as part of the squad. So, even though his career isn’t as jaw-dropping as the other names on this list, he has only been improving in recent years!

Heroic are looking excellent in recent months, with their great run at the ESL Pro League Season 17, a 3-0 record in the European RMR, and reaching the Grand Final of the IEM Rio 2023 after beating great names like FURIA and NAVI. stavn saw a slow start in the RMRs but got back to his consistent quality in the later matches. So, even though you might not see this Danish dominate MVP spots in this Major, his great impact plays are going to be winning factors for his squad!
