rain Refutes Retirement Reports

The FaZe rifler is not hanging up his mouse anytime soon

Håvard “rain” Nygaard has denied claims that he is about to retire soon. The 28-year-old has been active in the professional CSGO scene since 2013 and won several S-tier events throughout his career. He was named MVP at the PGL Major Antwerp 2022, Esports Championship Series Season 4 – Finals, and the ELEAGUE CSGO Premier 2017. rain was also part of the FaZe Clan side that won the Intel Grand Slam Season 4 in March.

rain has had a trophy-laden career and recently became a father, so many were expecting him to retire and focus on his family. The rifler, however, is still enjoying the adrenaline rush of competitive CSGO and is not thinking about retirement at all.

After FaZe’s Paris Major Challengers Stage victory against FORZE, which ensured their progression to the Legends Stage, rain addressed retirement rumors in the post-match interview.

“Yeah, I don't know what the fuck everybody is talking about. I also read somewhere that Pimp was talking on the analyst desk that I was planning on retiring as well, there is no plans. I just re-signed a contract with FaZe, I'm here to stay. My family, my wife, everybody is really supportive of what I'm doing. I'm not going anywhere.”

rain has recently penned a three-year extension at FaZe. He has been a mainstay at the club since 2016 and solidified his status as a FaZe legend. The Norwegian will continue to add new chapters to his already illustrious career, much to the delight of FaZe fans.
