Team Spirit Manager Korb3n Not Happy With Berlin Major Practice Facilities

Team Spirit's coach Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov complains about the small practice rooms at the Berlin Major 2023

The ESL One Berlin Dota 2 Major 2023 is about to kick off with 18 of the best teams from around the world vying for the top spot. To make things even more interesting, the tournament will be played on the latest 7.33 patch, which will put the players' abilities to come up with innovative strategies to the test. Not everything is going smoothly in Berlin, however, as Team Spirit, the TI10 champion, have expressed concerns about the practice rooms provided at the event.

What Did Korb3n Say About The Practice Facilities At The Berlin Major?

The practice room at the Berlin Major 2023 has come under fire from Korb3n, the manager of Team Spirit, escorenews reports. Korb3n voiced his complaints about the room's small size and the lack of sitting space for managers.

“I have a chair. This is all I can say about my impressions. I don’t know why, they (Tournament Organizers) really began to do very small practices. There is no extra space for the manager to sit, no table, nothing. It's pretty sad. <…> In general, it's like this. But what can we do? We don't complain. It's not hot here, and this is the most important thing, by the way.”

Korb3n is not the only Team Spirit member who criticized the mismanagement at the Berlin Major. Their offlaner Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov has pointed out that the players did not receive their luggage yet. Ruslana “DKLana” Berest, the second manager of the team, shared a video clip of the practice room, highlighting the limited size and lack of facilities. These issues are raising some red flags about whether the players are being provided with adequate amenities at the event.

Complaining about practice facilities, however, is nothing new for Team Spirit. The Russian squad had bashed the organizers for the same reason at the TI10. They were far from satisfied with the room size and facilities, but that could not stop them from winning the competition.

The Berlin Major 2023 has a lot at stake, with a whopping $500,000 USD and 2700 DPC points up for grabs. However, the event has had its fair share of problems, particularly for teams like 9 Pandas, BetBoom, OG, and Team Aster, who have had to tackle visa complications with their Russian players. As the tournament progresses, it will be intriguing to see how teams handle the tight practice rooms and whether it will impact their performance on the big stage.
