Timado Calls Out ESL Following Berlin Major 2023 Disappointment

The TSM carry is not happy with how the organization treats eliminated teams

The Berlin Major 2023 is heating up as we approach the end of the Group Stages, which comes to a close on April 30th. Fans have already said goodbye to a few teams in the Berlin Major 2023, including Exercration and TSM from Group A, as well as Invictus Gaming from Group B. Despite taking the top spot in the DPC NA 2023 Tour 2 Division I standings,

TSM have had a rough ride in the Major and have not lived up to expectations. The Major is over for the team, but they can't afford to rest on their laurels. To secure a spot in The International, they must regroup and come back stronger in the next DPC tour. The team’s carry player Enzo “Timado” Gianoli, however, has spoken out against ESL's treatment of eliminated teams on Twitter.

What Did Timado Accuse ESL Of?

In a now-deleted Twitter post, Timado called out ESL for sending eliminated teams home right away, resulting in the loss of their hotel accommodations and charging them for flight changes. Timado wrapped up his tweet with a poignant statement, “Last place lifestyle wcyd,” expressing his frustration with the outcome after being eliminated from the Berlin Major.

It's crunch time at the Berlin Major 2023, and for some teams, it's do or die. Unfortunately, Exercration, TSM, and Invictus Gaming have already been marked for elimination as the group stages wind down.

With only a few games left in the group stages, the fate of the remaining teams hangs in the balance. The top four teams in each group will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while teams in 5th and 6th place will head to the lower bracket. Any team that finishes 7th-9th in their respective group will be eliminated from the tournament.
