Old G Roster Finds New Identity as PuckChamp

Four players left Old G to join PuckChamp, which has led to speculations that Old G have rebranded themselves to retain their DPC Division II status
Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko, Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs, and Kartik “Kitrak” Rathi have left Old G to sign for PuckChamp. At first glance, this seems nothing out of the ordinary. Old G were kicked out of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour 3: Division II as they failed to field a full team in a tie-breaker match against PuckChamp. The latter kept hold of their Division II status without having to play the game as Old G have forfeited. That said, the mass exodus of Old G players to join PuckChamp have raised eyebrows in the Dota 2 community.
It seems that Old.G bought PuckChamp’s slot. Ceb is coming back to DPC by outsmarting (outpaying) PGL.

As of writing, Roman “Resolut1on” Fomynok is the only player currently registered under Old G, while Adam “Aramis” Moroz has joined the other four players who are presumed to be the defectors from Old G. Within the Dota 2 community, there is a prevailing theory that the arrival of Aramis signifies a strategic move by the Old G hierarchy to replace Resolut1on on the roster.

After being slapped with disqualification from the Summer Tour 2023 Closed Qualifiers for alleged breaches of the code of conduct, as disclosed by PGL, the team has been forced to make some daring moves. The saga began when Old G were forced to forfeit their match against PuckChamp because two of their players were playing as stand-ins at the Berlin Major. PGL refused to allow Old G two stand-ins for the match, as it goes against their rules, and expelled them from Division II. In response, Old G’s Ceb took to Twitter to launch a scathing attack on PGL and it made the matter worse for the Division II exiles.

This turn of events caught the attention of renowned Dota 2 streamer Max “qojqva” Bröcker, who couldn't help but express his thoughts on the matter. Qojqva cheekily mentioned that PGL, the tournament organizers, must be feeling a bit frustrated with the situation. After all, Old G's roster would still be competing in Division II, even after their disqualification from the closed qualifiers.
“They actually bought the slot from PuckChamp? Oh my god. PGL must be fuming right now. That's pretty funny. So Ceb just threw money at it and the problem went away?”
Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski also chimed in with his reaction to the situation.
“Old G bought PuckChamp Slot? Is that what happened? Is PuckChamp in Div II? Oh yeah, No[o]ne, Topson, No position 3, Aramis, wait for Aramis, was he in a team before? This guy is a new guy. So Ceb I guess is gonna be the last one right? So they just bought the slot? But why would they? Maybe they didn't feel like playing the qualifiers. I wonder how much they paid for it. Must have been at least $10k. That’s kinda sad for them because they were just about to play an elimination match against them and they couldn't field the roster and then they have to buy their slot. That's a rough one.”
