BetBoom Announce Role Swaps In Latest Roster Update

BetBoom players Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko and Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko will interchange playing positions next season

BetBoom wrapped up their Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Eastern Europe (EEU) 2023 Tour 2: Division I campaign with an impressive 3rd place standing, which earned them a Berlin Major 2023 spot. Unfortunately, BetBoom could not call upon their regular offlaner Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko in Berlin as he was denied entry to Germany, so Old G’s Roman “Resolut1on” Fomynok had to step in. In the lead-up to the Major, unverified reports began to surface that the team were contemplating a tactical switch that would see Pure and Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko swap roles. Pure’s visa troubles threw a wrench in the works, but now BetBoom have made it official that the duo will be exchanging responsibilities indeed. That means, Pure will play position 3 and Nightfall will concentrate on position 1.

The Berlin Major proved to be a disappointing chapter for BetBoom, as they faced an early exit during the tournament's group stages. The ramifications of the recent role swap are yet to be fully realized. However, it is worth highlighting Nightfall's versatility, having previously excelled as a position 1 player during his time with Virtus Pro and subsequently showcasing his skills in the offlane position with EG before putting on the BetBoom shirt.

Pure, on the contrary, lacks professional experience as an offlane player, having exclusively assumed the carry role throughout his tenures with Virtus.pro, Entity, and BetBoom. As a result, he might need some time to get used to his new role. How fast can he adjust? The team's success in the upcoming season may hinge upon the answer to that question.
