Immortals Shake Up the Roster After Another Bottom-Two Finish, Sign Former TSM Support Treatz

Erik “Treatz” Wessén will join Immortals for the Summer Split as Kadir “Fleshy” Kemiksiz moves to the NACL roster.

Immortals hasn’t found too much success in their second LCS stint so far. Since joining the league back in 2020, the org only has one playoff appearance and they finished the last three consecutive splits in the bottom two of the table. Spring 2023 also has been pretty hard on Immortals. The team only managed to win four games, the same number of games they did last Summer, and they had some personnel problems in the middle of the regular season with Nick “Ablazeolive” Abbott stepping down from the main roster, he later retired from pro play completely, and Onur Can “Bolulu” Demirol joining.

While Bolulu invigorated the team with his unique champion pool and good individual performances, Immortals only won two games after the roster swap. Now trying to break their unsuccessful cycle, Immortals are making another roster change in the offseason. The org announced on Twitter that Treatz will be their new starting support. The Swedish player isn’t a stranger to North America. He previously played at TSM Academy and he was part of the TSM championship roster in the Summer of 2020. Between 2021-22, Treatz was a part of LEC’s SK Gaming, and he spent the first part of 2023 as a free agent.

During his time with the TSM Academy, Treatz also won the NA Academy League 2019 Spring Season with Edward “Tactical” Ra as his ADC, who he will be reuniting with in the Immortals’ bot lane.

Known mainly for his melee engage picks, Treatz has been widely regarded as an important voice on his teams, especially during his SK stint. He is also a mechanically gifted support player even role-swapping to jungle for SK in the LEC Summer 2021.

Fleshy on the other hand will be joining Immortals’ NACL roster. The org said they are committed to the young player’s development and excited to see him grow within the NACL. Immortal Challengers also struggled during the NACL 2023 Spring Season, finishing at tenth in the 16-team league.
