Istanbul Wildcats vs LDLC OL Preview

Istanbul Wildcats

The only remaining Turkish team has a lot to prove to both the fans and to Riot Games, who have took away the Turkish Championship League’s Worlds and MSI spot, and putting them into the EMEA Regional Leagues Circuit. While FUT Esports and Papara SuperMassive (the other Turkish participants) have been knocked out, Emre “Kofte” Akca and co. still has a chance to validate their region.

Istanbul Wildcats vs LDLC OL The Lineup of Istanbul Wildcats

The Wildcats have been on the right track to do just that, as they were one of the best teams in the Group Stage. They finished Group A in first place with a 5-1 scoreline, only losing to Geekay Esports, who are now out of the picture – is there anyone who can stop the Wildcats from winning it all?

LDLC OL

Well, French Champions LDLC OL will certainly try, and they have a very good shot at succeeding as well. Felix “Kryze” Hellström and his teammates have finished 2nd in Group C, even though they won 5 matches out of the 6 played – but sadly, they lost the Tiebreaker against Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition. Nevertheless, the best team in the LFL is still in contention for the 2023 EM Spring Title, as they have ex-LEC players Kryze and Jesper “Jeskla” Klarin Strömberg. The two Swedes paired with Aslan “White” Panglose, Jonathan “Backlund” Backlund and Théo “Zoelys” Le Scornec make a killer team.

Istanbul Wildcats vs LDLC OL The ADC of LDLC, Jeskla

They are at their strongest when Backlund can get their through the midgame, relieving pressure from Jeskla, who can scale into the lategame almost unbothered to carry the game to a decisive victory – lik LDLC did in the LFL Finals and in the EM Group Stage.

Istanbul Wildcats vs LDLC OL Predictions

This match pits two of the most competent teams of the 2023 EMEA Masters Spring against each other. The Wildcats have only lost one First Tower and one First Blood in the entirety of the tournament, which signals dominance. They also have some unique picks, as Yoon “Destroy” Jeong-min plays a strong Rumble, while Kofte can bring the AD damage with Jayce.

But LDLC OL doesn’t need such tricks in order to finish almost perfectly in the Group Stage. While White plays a little more Jarvan IV than other jungles, the French squad has a straightforward approach to matches: play meta, win games. If they get caught off guard by IW, they can definitely falter, but the chances are fairly slim for that.
