3 matches remain from the 2023 EMEA Masters Spring Playoffs: the showdown between DenizBank Istanbul Wildcats and SK Gaming Prime, where either the Turkish team keeps their streak going, or the Germans rise against the odds; and the match of Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition and Los Heretics, which is the next chapter of the rivalry between these two teams.

Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition
The winners of the German ERL, the Prime League have showed exactly how they won one of the strongest leagues in the region. In Group C, they managed to get first place after beating LDLC OL once, and once again during the Tiebreakers, running circles around the French squad in the last match of the Group Stage – literally taking every objective from them.
In the first round of the Playoffs, however, Movistar Riders were a bit tougher to get through. While Lee “Mask” Sang-hun and co. defeated the Spanish champions in the first two matches of the Bo5, they had to make a comeback in the first round. After that, Movistar found two quick wins over the Unicorns, so it all came down to the last match, which was worthy of a decider. At the end of the day, it was German ADC Johannes “Fun K3y” Werner who became the hero, helping his team reach the Semis with an exceptional Xayah performance.
Los Heretics
Subicz “bluerzor” Dániel and his teammates overcame the odds in the first round of playoffs. After failing to beat Istanbul Wildcats on both occasions, but defeating everyone in Group A, they proceeded to the last segment of the EMEA Masters, but met with Team GO. Many fans believed that GO would be the winners this year, and that Heretics’ luck has run out.
But the Spanish silver-medalists came through after a hard-fought series. They traded blows with the second-strongest team of the LFL until they reached the 5th match of the series. In an interesting turn of events, Marcin “iBo” Lebuda picked Rumble, while Igor “marlon” Tomczyk decided on Pyke, which was a bit unusual for the team which has played conservatively in the tournament. However, the boldness paid off, as Los Heretics beat GO with only one death among the five players – which means they can face off against UOLSE once again.

Last year, these two teams played against each other in the Quarterfinels of the Summer EU Masters, and bluerzor managed to beat UOLSE alongside his team. But this 5-man squad of Unicorns is completely different from last year, so Los Heretics must be on the top of their game if they want to win. Nevertheless, they have beat the odds on more than one occasion, and they should be able to get to the finals again.
