ReKTGlobal Welcomes New Investors Josh Richards and Griffin Johnson

The parent company of CDL franchise London Royal Ravens and Team Rouge continue to acquire new investors, with TikTok superstars now joining the team.

At the start of the month, ReKTGlobal, parent company of London Royal Ravens and Team Rouge introduced Vikram “Vikkstar” Singh-Barn as a new co-owner of the CDL Franchise. To kick off December, they’ve announced more investors. This time adding TikTok titans Josh Richards and Griffin Johnson to the ownership team.

Who are Josh Richards and Griffin Johnson?

The two may not be household names within the esports community. However with over 50 million combined followers, they’re a big brand themselves. Richards and Johnson are original members of the popular TikTok collab house “Sway LA”. This is their first investment into the soon to be $3-billion esports industry. It will see them “develop new content, merchandise collaborations and promotional activations” for both Team Rouge and the London Royal Ravens.

Prior to joining ReKTGlobal, Richards co-founded TalentX Entertainment; a creator management company housing some of the best TikTok stars in the world. In May 2020, ReKTGlobal and TalentX Entertainment embarked on a new venture, TalentX Gaming. In this time, Johnson headed the Sway Gaming House. Which allowed players and creators to hone their skills in a competitive environment.

Both creators seem to be excited for their investment in ReKTGlobal with Richards stating how “Coming on as an investor to ReKTGlobal was genuinely a no-brainer”. While Johnson commented on how owning a part of the Royal Ravens and Team Rouge is “surreal”. Adding that he hopes to “help bridge the gap between traditional social media and esports.”
