FaZe Clan and Tfue Settle Ongoing Legal Battle

The esports lawsuit of the century between Turner “Tfue” Tenney and FaZe Clan has ended.

Popular esports organization FaZe Clan and Twitch personality Turner “Tfue” Tenney reportedly settled today after well over a year at odds with one another. Tfue famously left FaZe back in May 2019, alleging an “oppressive” contract. What transpired after will indeed find its way into the esports history books. Tfue and FaZe Clan each pled their case to the public, but only the court of law would decide the outcome. Earlier today, Forbes and Esports Observer, reported that both parties settled. A spokesperson released a statement in regards to the conclusion of this case.

“Faze and Turner Tenney are pleased to announce they have resolved their disputes and settled their litigations. The parties wish one another the best of luck in future endeavors.”

Neither of the two parties involved in this case provided any additional details in terms of monetary value.

This settlement marks the end of an era, seeing that Tfue signed with FaZe Clan back in April of 2018. He saw significant growth in popularity similar only to his long-time rival Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. Tfue reached substantial heights in competitive Fortnite both as a solo and alongside FaZe Clan member Dennis “Cloakzy” LePore.

As a player under FaZe Clan, Tfue won multiple tournaments, including $200,000 at the Fall Skirmish LAN event in 2018 with duo partner Cloakzy. This victory was just one of many career accolades for Tfue, who quickly became one of the Twitch platform's most popular streamers. The 23-year-old can now close the FaZe Clan chapter of his life, which he may never revisit fondly. After 15 months, one of esports' most remarkable lawsuits has finally come to a close. Only time will tell whether more details will surface about the settlement itself.
