NICKMERCS Signs Three Year Extension With FaZe Clan

NICKMERCS will remain a part of FaZe Clan for the next three years.

Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and FaZe Clan reached a three-year contract extension, first reported by The Esports Observer. According to the report, “FaZe Clan will be looking to Kolcheff to produce more creative and engaging content that aligns with FaZe’s reach within the sports, music, and entertainment landscapes.” The former Fortnite superstar turned Call of Duty: Warzone streamer joined FaZe Clan over a year ago after departing the 100 Thieves esports organization.

Departure from 100 Thieves

Kolcheff signed with FaZe Clan in May of 2019 after a falling out with his previous organization – 100 Thieves. The 29-year-old went public with his frustrations aimed toward Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag following his exit from the California-based organization. Since leaving 100 Thieves, Kolcheff stated that he lost out on “millions of dollars” due to what played out back around the time he left 100 Thieves. He spent three years with the organization and ended on a sad note.

Joining FaZe Clan and Contract Extension

It didn’t take long for Kolcheff to find himself a new home. On May 30, 2019 – FaZe Clan released a video – wherein the organization announced its acquisition of NICKMERCS. The esports world exploded with excitement. Although no terms of the deal were made public, it’s safe to assume that FaZe Clan offered Kolcheff a lot of money. The three-year extension speaks to NICKMERCS and his MFAM community. The 29-year-old has built quite a brand for himself with loyal followers.

As of late, NICKMERCS has found success in multiple Call of Duty: Warzone tournaments, including his own MFAM Gauntlet competitions. He streams daily to upwards of 50K viewers on Twitch where he maintains 4.3 million followers.
