Myth Bids Farewell To TSM After Nearly Four Years

Twitch streamer Myth departs TSM FTX after four years under its banner.

North American esports organization TSM FTX announced today the departure of veteran content creator Ali “Myth” Kabbani. The 22-year-old Twitch streamer made a name for himself back in 2018 as one of the top Fortnite streamers. He helped revolutionize the game’s building mechanic and, alongside others such as Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Turner “Tfue” Tenney, built a career and following.

Myth Explains Surprising Decision

Myth spent nearly four years with TSM before opting not to re-sign for 2022. The former TSM member posted a nine-minute video on YouTube explaining his decision to leave. He ultimately felt that he no longer provided much value to the organization from a content perspective. Myth added that his relationships within TSM diminished after former President Leena Xu and fellow creator Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg parted ways.

These two factors, mixed with the creator’s interest in expanding his content options, contributed to his choice not to re-sign. Myth rounded out the video, reflecting on his time and experiences as part of the popular organization.

End of an Era

It’s the end of an era without question; TSM Myth has been a household name for the last four years. He rose to prominence alongside former TSM members Daequan “Daequan” Loco and Darryle “Hamlinz” Hamlin—fellow Fortnite OGs. Myth, Daequan and Hamlinz launched the TSM Fortnite House and each reached the height of Twitch.

Myth’s exit occurs just four months after Daequan and Hamlinz departed to join rival esports organization NRG. Now, Myth becomes a free agent himself while he experiments with different types of content. It’s possible that Myth, Daequan and Hamlinz could reunite under NRG. We’ll ultimately have to see what lies ahead for the Fortnite legend and current variety streamer.
