SUBtember on Twitch is Just Around the Corner

Twitch’s month-long special offer for subscriptions, will start on September 1. Or, as it shall be known in the world of Twitch, SUBtember. 

SUBtember is a Twitch “holiday,” created to celebrate the Twitch community around the world, distribute the cheer and maybe get some new subscribers. The mascot for the 2022 version of the holiday is Twitch’s own Fairy Modmother.

Fairy Modmother will visit Twitch users all September long for an opportunity for people to subscribe to their favorite creators at discount prices, up to 30%. As the name suggests, SUBtember will start on the first day of September at 11:00 AM PT and it will go on till the end of the month. The last available purchase date with a discounted price is September 30th, 2022 at 11:59 PM PT.

Unlike last year, where the only available discount was 20%, Twitch is offering more advantageous deals for people who are looking to make long-term commitments. The amount users save will grow with how long they are and will be subscribed to that channel. People can get 20% off for one-month subs, 25% off for three-month subs and 30% off for six-month subs. And you don’t have to worry about the creator you are trying to support either, they will be getting paid for a full-priced sub.

Of course, there are some limitations to the offer. If you have an existing recurring subscription, a subscription canceled in September, Prime, or gift subscriptions that are not being converted to paid or new custom subscriptions, you will not be able to take full advantage of SUBtember. Other than that, the discount applies to all new, recurring paid subscriptions, Prime, or gift subscriptions converted to paid subscriptions, or monthly subscriptions upgraded to multi-month.

In a statement, Twitch’s head of global sponsorship sales Lou Garate said, “Streamers are the heart of Twitch, and SUBtember is an annual celebration of the work they do to build strong communities across our service.” To celebrate this SUBtember with the members of the Twitch community, the official Twitch Public Access channel will be the host of a special celebration that will start on September 16th at 1:00 PM PT.
