FIFA 23 will bring lots of new content to the game with the start of the FIFA World Cup. Here’s everything you need to know, including the updates coming to Ultimate Team, new game modes and much more.

FIFA 23 World Cup Update Release Date

November 9th is the official start date for FIFA 23’s World Cup content. While the World Cup doesn't start until November 20th, fans are getting their hands on World Cup content earlier to increase the hype and get fans ready for the tournament.

FIFA 23 World Cup Ultimate Team Content

All Ultimate Team players heading to the World Cup will receive new World Cup items. Some of these new player cards will feature increased attributes, and Ultimate Team content will arrive on November 11th. These World Cup cards will be available in Packs, Objectives and SBC’s, however, they will be removed from the game following the conclusion of the World Cup.

FUT World Cup Heroes

FIFA 23 Ultimate Team will be the mode receiving the newest content with the World Cup update. One of the major additions is the World Cup Hero items. These are new cards of the existing FUT Heroes that feature increased stats. These cards will arrive with the FUT World Cup update on November 11th, and players who pre-ordered FIFA 23 before August 21st will receive a FUT World Cup Hero in their club.

FIFA 23 World Cup Modes

New modes will arrive to FIFA 23 with the World Cup update. This includes a new World Cup Kick Off mode that allows you to “play in any stage of the competition and choose a side from any of the 32 qualified teams, or from any other national team available in FIFA 23.”

World Cup Tournaments will also make their way to the game, allowing you to choose any national team and follow their journey throughout the world cup, taking them from the group stage all the way to the final.

FIFA 23 World Cup Live

Lastly, FIFA 23 World Cup Live is an online mode that allows you to play a certain team's fixtures alongside their real-life matches. This mode will update following the real-life results.
