New Trailer for the Halo TV Series Revealed at The Game Awards

The long awaiting, long delayed, Halo TV series is finally coming, and we have our first details and footage.

The show has gone through a lot of changes over the years, however, finally we have details of the Halo series as it looks set to launch in early 2022. The show will air on Paramount+ in the US and Canada, with the service being picked up by regional partners around the world (see here for your region).

The series stars Pablo Schreiber, Natascha McElhone and Charlie Murphy. Alongside Jen Taylor, Shabana Azmi, Bokeem Woodbine, Kate Kennedy, Natasha Culzac, Yerin Ha and Bentley Kalu. With an estimated USD $200 million budget and episodes set to be directed by Otto Bathurst, Jonathan Liebesman, M. J. Bassett, Roel Reiné, and Jet Wilkinson.

Pablo Schreiber, who plays Master Chief in the series, had this to say:

“It takes place very much in the universe that the video games created, but it's a TV show. We get to expand that universe and create stories in it. There's going to be some new characters that are introduced, there's going to be a lot of familiar characters that everyone will know from the game.”

The show was filmed in 2019, though COVID caused a delay in filing the final episode and reshoots. The show was filmed mostly in 2019, with reshoots seeing the show pushed into 2022. The series is split into six parts, though not many details are known beyond that.

From the trailer above, we can be sure at least that the Master Chief will feature, which I’m sure many fans will be happy to know.
