FaZe Clan vs Gambit Esports
Gambit Esports managed to qualify for the IEM Katowice 2022 Playoffs through the lower bracket. The team lost to Ninja in Pyjamas in their first Group Stage game but quickly recovered. Gambit Esports dominated the lower bracket, only conceding a single map in three matches.
FaZe Clan performed better than Gambit Esports in the Group Stage, losing 19-22 to Natus Vincere in their last game. But all their matches were pretty close to a defeat and FaZe Clan didn’t show the same improvement throughout the games as Gambit Esports did.
FaZe Clan vs Gambit Esports will be a pretty close game, but Gambit Esports should take the win.
Virtus.pro vs G2 Esports
Virtus.pro had a smooth run in their Group Stage. The team defeated CPH Flames and Ninjas in Pyjamas, before failing to Heroic.
G2 Esports struggled a bit more. The team won the first map against Fnatic, but eventually lost the match. In the lower bracket, G2 Esports defeated Team Liquid and FURIA Esports. In their last game, they lost Ancient to Astralis before winning the next maps 16-5 and 16-1.
G2 Esports showed that they had what it takes to overcome a team even after losing the first map. Virtus.pro played well but didn’t show as much will as their opponents. G2 Esports should win this match.
IEM Katowice Predictions for tomorrow
Heroic vs FaZe Clan or Gambit Esports
The first semifinals match will see Heroic face either FaZe Clan or Gambit Esports. Heroic had an almost perfect run in the Group Stage. The team lost a single map in three games. After a close battle, OG managed to win a map 16-14 before Heroic crushed them.
The winner of FaZe Clan vs Gambit Esports, no matter which team wins, will be an underdog in this match. If Gambit Esports faces Heroic, they may surprise us and take the win. FaZe Clan would struggle a bit more.
Natus Vincere vs Virtus.pro or G2 Esports
The winner of Virtus.pro vs G2 Esports will face Natus Vincere in Semifinals. NaVi is the best CS:GO team on paper, far ahead of any other team. However, this status of leader may cause some overconfidence and upset if the team loses.
In the Group Stage, Natus Vincere lost a map to ENCE and FaZe Clan, despite being theoretically better than both teams. Virtus.pro and G2 Esports have equal chances of defeating NaVi – even if these odds are pretty low.
Natus Vincere should be able to defeat the winner of Virtus.pro vs G2 Esports, but we are never safe from a surprise, especially in offline events such as IEM Katowice 2022.
