London Royal Ravens vs Atlanta FaZe will be the first Bounty Match of the CDL Stage 5, where the teams will fight for $10,000 on top of everything else!
The first day of the second week of the Call of Duty League Stage 5 Qualifiers took place yesterday: London Royal Ravens suffered yet another loss, this time at the hands of the Los Angeles Guerrillas, Boston Breach steamrolled through Floirda Mutineers, while FaZe defeated Las Vegas Legion. On the second day, the Bounty Matches begin, but can FaZe keep that ball rolling?

The Ravens had a rough time so far in the 2023 season of the Call of Duty League. While Byron “Nastie” Plumridge and his teammates have found relative success in the first Qualifiers, since then, they always fluked out among the first in the Majors.
While they had some highlights, such as beating Toronto Ultra in the Stage 3 Major Qualifiers, and New York Subliners in the Stage 1 Major Qualifiers, the London Royal Ravens are the dead last team in terms of Championship points – and the first one that can’t make it to this year’s CDL Champs
Atlanta FaZe
While the team of Tiny Terrors haven’t secured a Major win since the Stage 2 Major, they locked in to the Championship first, as they have 25 more championship points than OpTic Texas. Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris’ and FaZe’s worst finish in a Major was 3rd, and while they dropped some matches in Qualifiers, they can perform where it matters the most.
In Stage 4, they ran out of steam before reaching the finals, losing to OpTic Texas 0-3 in the Lower Bracket Finals. OpTic continues to be their kryptonite, as FaZe suffered another 0-3 loss against them in the first week of Stage 5 – but after beating Los Angeles Guerrillas and Las Vegas Legion 3-0, the team of Atlanta should be fairly confident.

Predicting this match’s outcome seems like an easy task, as Atlanta is a very strong team of the Call of Duty League, while London Royal Ravens is the weakest in some terms. However, the only European team of the CDL managed to surprise FaZe in the Stage 4 Qualifiers, beating them 3-1 in the third weekend.
Still, FaZe has much better numbers both individually and on a team level, and while they don’t have a positive winrate on Control, London Royal Ravens only managed to win 6 out of 26 games played in this gamemode – while also having a negative WR in Hardpoint and SnD.
