Echo Claim Victory – WoW Dragonflight Vault of the Incarnates RWF

Echo claims a massive RWF victory as the race went down to the wire.

After a massive push from all the guilds, we finally have a winner of the Vault of the Incarnates RWF! Both guilds pushed it to the absolute limits, but Echo came out on top. After one of the most intense races we've seen, Echo came away with a victory. The kill came on what was likely the last day of the race for most of the guilds in the West, with Christmas likely to get in the way of plans. Echo had been in the lead for the last few days, with the kill coming shortly after another nerf to Raszageth.

The victory means that Echo has now won 3/3 of the last 3 raids released, as they claim their spot at the top of the guild charts (we'll update this list shortly, though Echo remains top). Now, we just have to wait for who claims the remaining top spots, alongside the final top 10 on the leaderboards.

Obviously, Blizzard wasn't keen for the race to go over the holiday period, and there's no good time to nerf a boss. Sadly for Liquid, the kill came as they woke up to start their day of raiding. The Echo stream casters stated that the nerf was “applied shortly before the pull according to our production” – it was known to all competitive guilds that a hotfix would be applied today, but when wasn't known. From the information, we have from the pull, and the kill, it looks like it was indeed applied shortly before the kill. For Echo, however, they were ahead for the past few days, so they won't feel too concerned about people claiming they got a free kill.

Now, attention will move to the world second and third, with many guilds still in the race. Liquid will, very likely, attempt kills on the boss post-nerf, while BDGG and Method are hunting for the remaining top 3 spot. On the Jailer kill in Shadowlands, Liquid opted to take a break towards the end of the race due to just how long it was taking; we expect them to claim second place at some point.

You can check our full daily recap from the RWF if you want a brief timeline of events. Now, guilds will turn attention to the next raid, which hopefully isn't as far aware as the gaps in Shadowlands were.
