WoW Dragonflight 10.0.7 Patch Notes

Blizzard has posted the final patch notes for Dragonflight 10.0.7.

WoW Dragonflight patch 10.0.7 is here, and it's filled with new content. You can find the key highlights below, with a link to the full class changes at the end.

Forbidden Reach gets end-game content

We've known since the very beginning of Dragonflight that we'd be heading back to the Forbidden Reach at some point. Well, it only took us two patches and we're already back. Forbidden Reach will return in 10.0.7, with a host of new content and rares for players to tackle. With the zone being already fully fleshed out, what we're going to see from the zone is more like a new Dragonflight zone rather than some uncharged new land. Forbidden Reach will act like an end-game hub for players, featuring all the WQs, Dragonriding, rare spawns and even Elemental Storm events.

Zskera Vault

For those of you who miss Torghast, you're in luck. Zskera Vault brings Torghast back to life, sort of. Players will enter a randomized room, seeking out monsters and completing puzzles within. The Vault will be unique to you and will change each week. The content will also gain a weekly quest tying the entire experience together. The goal of the Vault is to gain access to Primordial Stone Gems, which slot into a new item, the Onyx Annulet. You'll be given your first 6 keys right away, and you'll be tasked with earning more keys to access more doors as you go. The keys are Bind on Account, so you can freely switch between Alts to continue your progress.

Three new races gain access to Monks

  • Lightforged Draenei, Goblin and Worgen, races now have access to their inner selves as the Monk class opens up to them.
  • Lightforged Draenei and Worgen Monks will find their NPCs in Stormwind,  while Goblin Monk's NPCs can be found in Kezan, Bilgewater Cartel. There is also an additional Goblin Monk NPC in Orgrimmar.

New Faction – Winterpelt Furbolg

Furbolg's are back, and they want you to earn reputation with them. It's been a minute since we last got bossed around by Furbolg's but their snowy cousins are in Dragonflight, and they have tasks. The faction will offer you a selection of rewards, from trinkets, toys, and even allow you to transform into a Winterpelt Furbolg at Exalted. The faction's quartermaster will also offer you a host of new looks for your Dragonriding mount alongside a new Battle Pet.

Orc and Human Heritage Armor Questline

It feels like we've been waiting since Warcraft 2, but we're finally getting Heritage sets for the “OG” races. Like many others, this will take the form quest chain focused on the events surrounding that faction. Some early information from the PTR had players concerned that the sets were “Boring”. However, the final versions will have more variations than were first shown. An example is shown below, though it will probably cause other races to ask why they never got more varients of their armor sets.

Recruit a friend gets another refresh

Recruit a Friend is getting a refresh as well, with new rewards for players to earn. New pets, mounts and transmogs, alongside the usual free game time rewards, are all up for grabs for new and returning players. Players still on track to earn the previous rewards will still do so, provided they continue to progress. If the progress is halted, you will lose progress on the old rewards.

10.0.7 Key Class Changes

The most obvious change comes in the form of the first rework of a spec in Dragonflight. The Retribution Paladin is set to have a massive overhaul to address a number of key concerns about the spec. Shadow Priest is also due a rework in Dragonflight 10.1, however, the Paladin is up first. Similar to Shadow Priest, however, the key goal here from Blizzard seems to be to address “Button Bloat” within the Paladin rotation. Alongside obvious buffs to some key damage spells, survivability and mobility, while also providing more variety in Talent picks. Based on early DPS numbers, it looks like Ret Paladin will see a lower burst profile, in place of higher sustain.

You can view the complete class changes on the official Blizzard post.
