PUBG Is Officially Launching On FACEIT

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is officially launching via FACEIT following the success of it's beta. The official launch will take place tomorrow on September 28th in NA, EU and SA.

The PUBG and FACEIT beta started August 17th. There have since been 200,000+ sign-ups. FACEIT's analytics suggest that half of all CS:GO players on the platform play PUBG as well.

“Whilst we anticipated high levels of success with the closed beta, we were blown away by the positive feedback and the number of sign-ups. The integration we developed with PUBG allows players to be in a match within seconds and we’re excited to welcome everyone on the platform to jump in and experience our competitive battleground. PUBG is continually proving its fierce potential as an esport, and we’re thrilled to be a part of that exciting journey by offering players unprecedented opportunities to develop their skills.” – Niccolo Maisto, FACEIT CEO

FACEIT's platform allows PUBG players to play in online leagues. The system lets players earn FACEIT points which can be redeemed for purchases from the store and for in-game items.

“The FACEIT integration offers our community a uniquely competitive framework to play PUBG at a level they haven’t experienced before. The closed beta proved the value of our partnership, and we can’t wait to watch the competitive scene develop further.” – Hyowon Yoo, Head of Business Development and Ops NA/EU, PUBG Corp.

PUBG Mobile also announced they will be launching a $600,000 esports tournament. It appears as though PUBG is tired of losing their market share to Fortnite and upcoming releases Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V.
