CONGRATULATIONS
In a move that says farewell to Mehmood “Moody” Askar, the longest standing member of the PUBG team in its history, Cloud9 is moving forward to Phase 1 of the NPL with starter Austin “Lobes” McWethy. The acquisition was first announced on Twitter just less than a week before the start of the season. Recognized by the best in the game as a top contender in the Tier 2 scene, Mcwethy has been received with open arms going on with the next step in his career.

While there has not been any official statement from Cloud9 regarding the release of their two players; many are citing streamed and recorded instances of personal conflict amongst teammates as the primary reasoning behind Askar’s departure.
HOPEFUL 2019
The roster now consists of Magno “Pr0phie” Ramos, Thierry “Kaymind” Kaltenback, Benjamin “Nerf” Wheeler, and Austin “Lobes” McWethy. While each individual on the team is a force to be reckoned with, Cloud9 has historically struggled to find the chemistry required to consistently perform in competition and become a top 3 team in their respective region. Parting ways with their longest standing player proceeding a lackluster performance in the NPL Preseason gives rise to high expectations for McWethy as he steps into the team; while fans are hopeful Cloud9 will go on to be a top performer in Phase 1 of the NPL.
