Krafton Announces PUBG Continental Series 4 Details

Krafton has revealed the details about PUBG Continental Series 4 (PCS4), where sixteen teams from four regions will compete for a total prize pool of more than $1 million.

The four regions for PCS4 include the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Asia-Pacific, each having an individual prize pool of $250,000. Each region will conduct its own set of qualifiers to determine which teams will move ahead to the PCS4 Grand Finals.

The North America and Latin America regions will have separate qualifiers starting from May 5 to 12. The event will comprise three and four rounds and the top eight teams from each sub-region Open Qualifiers will compete in their respective sub-regional Group Stage competitions.

Both NA and LATAM will conduct separate Group Stages starting from May 14-20. The Group Stages will see the top eight teams from qualifying rounds in the mix with top 16 teams from each sub-region's ESL PUBG Masters: Phase 1 Group Stage. As the teams compete for their share of $25,000, the top six teams for the competition will move to the PCS4 Americas Grand Finals. However, the 7th through 14th ranked teams from each sub-regional Group Stage will compete against each other in the PCS4 Americas Last Chance Qualifier, which will take place on May 22-23.

The schedule for the PCS4 Grand Finals is:

  • Americas: June 10-11 | June 17-18 | June 24-25
  • Asia Pacific: June 10-11 | June 17-18 | June 24-25
  • Europe: June 12-13 | June 19-20 | June 26-27
  • Asia: June 12-13 | June 19-20 | June 26-27

Details on Crowd-Funded Prize Pools

The PCS4 will witness the return of Pick’ Em Challenge. This will give fans an opportunity to earn in-game rewards by predicting the outcome of each regional tournament. Fans can get voting coupons by purchasing thematic PCS4 items or by watching the tournaments. They can use these coupons to cast votes and take part in the challenge. According to Krafton, 30% of the revenue generated through the sale of PCS4 items will be added to the overall prize pool.
